Student Terms and Conditions
Registration & Personal Data
Students (or parents/guardians if under 18) must complete registration accurately, including medical and emergency details. Information is stored securely and shared only when necessary (e.g. instructors or governing bodies such as the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association). You must inform us of any changes.
Medical & Fitness to Train
You must disclose any medical conditions, injuries, medications, or allergies that may affect training. Seek medical advice if needed before starting. Inform instructors of any changes and ensure required medication is accessible at the start of each class. You may stop training at any time if unwell.
Code of Conduct
Follow instructors’ guidance at all times. Show respect, arrive on time, wear correct uniform, remove jewellery, and maintain hygiene. No food, gum, or inappropriate behaviour. Train safely and appropriately to your partner’s level. Report hazards or injuries immediately. Parents must supervise children where required. Lost Uniform/ Sparring Equipment must be replaced within 2 weeks from the academy store.
Training & Techniques
Only practice techniques taught by Black Paw instructors and follow the academy syllabus. Instructor guidance must be followed at all times.
Assumption of Risk
Martial arts involves risk of injury. While reasonable care is taken, participation is voluntary and at your own risk. You may withdraw from the class activity at any time, and inform a senior instructors.
Media
Black Paw Martial Arts Academy may use photos and videos of students to promote the academy.
I may withdraw consent at any time by notifying the academy in writing. Upon notice, no new photos or videos of me/my child will be used in future promotional materials.
First Aid & Emergencies
In an emergency, a qualified first aider may administer first aid for minors if required.
All reasonable steps will be taken to contact the parent/guardian or emergency contact before further treatment is sought.
You must provide up-to-date emergency contact details and notify the academy of any changes.
Membership & Fees
Membership requires payment of fees and compliance with these terms. One calendar month’s written notice is required to cancel.
Attendance & Grading
Regular attendance and appropriate conduct are required for grading. Progression is at the instructors’ discretion.

By enrolling or continuing membership, you confirm you have read and agree to these terms. Speak to your instructor if you have questions.
